Susie Trout celebrated her 107th birthday on Thursday. Trout’s two daughters and several of the Hospice Care of the Southwest employees joined her on her special day with cupcakes, roses and balloons. Trout was born on Aug. 22, 1906 in Beckham County, Okla. She came to the McLean area in 1929 in a covered wagon, and she still has her house in McLean as well. Trout has been living with her daughter, also named Susie, for almost three years. Those in attendance for Trout’s birthday included her two daughters, Susie Ferguson and Maudie Alexander, hospice educator Terry Barnes and hospice employees Susan Thomason, Fran Turner, Charlotte Hughes and Jenifer Oliver.
