A Miracle

Posted

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

2020 is almost over! Can I get a Hallelujah? A year ago I don’t know of anyone that would have expected 2020 to be like it has been. It seems like it has been one thing after another and even now things seem so difficult.

I have been so thankful in recent days to spend time with family as we have celebrated Christmas. Yes, things are still different and we question when it will all come to an end. We still are getting calls concerning those who are going through a great struggle. But the reason for Christmas is still Jesus.

When that last Christmas gift was unwrapped, we could still celebrate Christmas because of that great gift. 2020 could not take away the wonderful gift that God gave us by sending His Son to this world. He is the Savior and Lord that we so desperately need not just now, but at all times.

I heard a song that spoke to me. It is by Mike and Kelly Bowling called ‘A Miracle Today’. I have heard it time and again, but as I listened to it today it really spoke to me. Truth is it is something that many are calling for in these days. I want to share the words with you

1 ----- You see the puzzle not the piece, You see the forest not the trees. You know what’s best for me. Lord, You have bottled up all my tears, You see my questions and my fears. It’s the way it has to be.

2 ---- Lord You are faithful more than words. You feed the lilies and the birds. You catch the sparrow when it falls. You know exactly where I am, and I’m not questioning Your plan. There’s a reason for it all.

3 ---- You turn the water into wine, You heal the leper and the blind. God, I know there’s nothing you can’t do. You calm the sea with just one word, and when You spoke, the deaf man heard. So I know this is a little job for You.

Chorus ----- I know there are others more deserving than I. I know that I’m not worthy, but You listen when I cry. If this cross is mine to bear, I’ll praise You anyway. But, Lord, I could sure use a miracle today.

I don’t know whether Joseph and Mary ever prayed for a miracle, but they were truly placed in the midst of the greatest work of God. The hand of God truly touched their lives and brought about the most amazing touch of God anyone could ask for. It didn’t take away all of their problems, but surely brought them peace in the midst of it all.

I know 2020 has been tough but I also know that God is great and His desire is for each person to know Him personally. When we accept His great gift, then the true miracle takes place. We find peace in the midst of all that takes place and trust God to carry us through all that we face.

Matthew 13:58 says -- And He did not do many miracles there because of their unbelief. So be a believer. I don’t know where you are today, but I do know that God is near and His desire is for you to know the miracle of peace that He offers to all who come to Him. The truth is that I believe that God will work in all that is taking place.

Just let the love of Jesus be yours even in the midst of these times. He will work mightily in your life to accomplish the ‘miracle’ in your life. Just believe. Hold to Him and let Him move in your life.

JESUS, JESUS, JESUS, there IS something about that name!!

Christ only, always,

Bro. Paul
