Altrusa International of Pampa, Texas, Inc. met on September 22, 2020 at the Pampa Chamber of Commerce with president, Sheila Winton presiding. Jenifer Richards served as greeter.
The Accent was presented by Myrna Orr who used an article by former columnist, Don Taylor, on tips to increase our vocabulary. She also read a quote by Thomas Jefferson, “The most valuable of all talents is that of never using two words when one will do.”
Lyndsay Sullivan, Coffee Memorial Blood Center Coordinator, spoke to the club regarding the services of the center which serves the entire Texas panhandle or 39 counties. She shared some of the experiences of patients who survived from blood donations.She stressed the importance of donating blood as one pint of blood can save three lives. Sullivan announced the date of Oct. 14 for the Pampa Community Blood Drive at MK Brown auditorium, 11  a.m. -6  p.m.

Additional door prizes, Altrusa masks, were awarded to Lynn Moore, Leona Willis, Judy Warner, Myrna Orr and Pat Johnson given by the president, Sheila Winton.
