Amy Joy Birchler, 40 years of age, of Pampa, Texas, slipped from this life into eternal glory leaving a wake of sadness and hurt on Monday, November 8, 2021, following a brief illness. She was born on September 28, 1981, in Lamar, Colorado.

Not long after relocating to Pampa about 20 years ago, Amy started her employment with Gray County as a Jailor and throughout her tenure had advanced her position to Jail Administrator. Very much a lover of life, people, dogs, kids – she loved ALMOST everything; however, there was no match to the passion she carried for her family. Perhaps due to the age gap, she was practically a second mother to her two younger siblings, even named her sister, Dallas and at one point moved back to Springfield so Joshua would know her. Amy was most definitely a giver and not a taker as she wouldn’t hesitate to offer the shirt off her back or her last dime if someone were in need.

Amy’s appreciation for music ran deep as she enjoyed various genres, but rock was her jam! She and best friend, April, traveled all over to attend concerts. Amy had a zeal for life and didn’t want to waste any of it. About a year and a half ago, Amy met the love of her life, Jerry Porter. She had waited her whole life to meet her special someone and he fulfilled her dream. Recently, at her 40th birthday dinner, Jerry proposed to her, and she accepted. Without hesitation, she adored his two kids and took them into her heart and Jerry’s family quickly became hers.

Her enormous heart and love for so many things, her kind generosity and overall happy spirit weren’t all there was to Amy, she was also very outspoken and opinionated, but that is who she was and that is what so many people are going to miss about her so much.

Those who were waiting for her arrival into heaven were her granddad, Lars Grahn; grandparents, Clifford and Naomi Jordan and Edith and Ray Birchler.

To cherish and remember her amazing kindness and unlimited love are her parents, Kathy and Dennis Jordan of Springfield, CO and Brian Birchler of Ft Morgan, CO; fiancé, Jerry Porter of Pampa; Grandma, Kathryn Grahn of Granada, CO; brother, Joshua Jordan; sister, Dallas Jordan and fiancé Misa Ontiveros all of Lubbock; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; best friend and partner in crime, April Gomez of Pampa, her fur babies and a multitude of friends.

Celebration of Life Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Cat Creek Event Center, 27913 US-287, Springfield, CO 81073. The family has entrusted the cremation care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.

Should donations be a preference, the family has suggested they be made to PAWS, Pampa Animal Welfare Society, P.O. Box 2095, Pampa, TX 79066-2095 in honor of Amy.
