Andre’ Louise Roberson

Andre’ Louise Roberson, 76, a lifelong resident of Pampa, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. She was born December 5, 1944, to James and Virginia Herring in Pampa.

Andre’ never knew a stranger and being born and raised in Pampa, may have contributed to her love of visiting with everyone. She married her one true love, Raymond Roberson, on February 22, 1962, in Pampa, and together celebrated 57 years of a long and happy marriage, until his passing in 2019. She often said, “she was never a widow, just waiting till they could meet again.” Andre’ had worked in the healthcare industry for 34 years as a CNA and medication aide prior to her retirement. Her caring and compassionate nature was certainly evident in the attention she gave her patients and typically people in general. Family also reaped the benefits of her loving nature, especially her children; however, she always had as abundance of love for her Full Armor Fellowship Church family as well. Her own relationship with Christ was a source of great joy to her as she was a true believer in the love of her Savior. She was certainly proud when her son, Rodney, chose the ministry as his life’s work, so her love of Christ was carried on.

A woman of many talents, Andre’ enjoyed bowling, crocheting, tending to her cats - especially TJ, but above all else she was a baseball FAN! When her beloved baseball teams, the Texas Rangers and Atlanta Braves, (or whoever was playing better that year) were playing you could find her in multi-tasking mode, by watching games in each room of the house as well as listening if broadcast on the radio, all while dealing with other chores. Not even her family could disturb an especially exciting game without repercussions. She was such a devoted fan she kept copious records of statistics for years and could quote all the stats of the best teams.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Roberson, March 11, 2019; two sons, Travis Roberson, Tracey Roberson; her parents, James and Virginia Herring; brother-in-law, Donnie Robinson and a great-grandson, Damien Brown.

Those left to remember her kind and loving ways are her two sons, Rodney Roberson and wife Tina, James Roberson all of Pampa; daughter, Melissa Roberson of Yakima, Washington; two brothers, Dale Herring of Amarillo, Jim Bob Herring of Borger; two sisters, Gayla Mulholland, of Midland, O’Nita Robinson of Pampa; two grandchildren, Amanda Merrell of Borger, Dakota Roberson of Pampa and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extend family members.

Andre’s family will be hosting a Celebration of Life Memorial service at a date to be determined. They have entrusted the cremation care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.

The family would like to offer a very sincere Thank You to the staff at West Dayhab for the loving care they have given to Andre’ and James over the years, the staff at Good Sam and to the nurses and staff of the ICU at Pampa Regional Medical Center. A special thanks also to her Full Armor Fellowship Church family and Pastor Mike Carlisle as well as to the New Horizon Community Fellowship Church for the prayers and support given during this time of loss. We cannot express how much your acts of kindness have meant to us.
