Andrea Elaine Slater, 69 years of age, of Pampa, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 17, 2021 in Pampa. She was born on November 10, 1951 to Edward and Ann Collins in Levelland, Texas.
At a young age, Elaine’s family moved from Levelland to Pampa and it remained her lifelong home. In the past, she enjoyed being on a bowling league and she was a self-employed barber for many years. In spite of her small stature, Elaine carried a rather large presence about herself as it was very evident when she entered a room. Her boisterous personality and extremely outgoing spirit were often the life of the party. Elaine loved her kids (even though she took every opportunity possible to embarrass them) and her grandkids as well. She was not only very proud of her Comanche heritage, but that she was able to pass it down to her family that she remained close to as well. Her infectious smile and laughter will be missed greatly.
Elaine is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Slater; her parents and a sister, Lisa Orr.
Family that she has left to hold dear her memories are a son, Frankie Rodriguez of Alamogordo, NM; daughter, Letitia Haase and husband Dan of Glendale, AZ; brothers, Van Collins of Claude, Benny Collins of Marlow, OK and two grandchildren, Harley Gardner and wife Jessie and Holden Gardner.
No funeral services are scheduled. The family has entrusted the cremation care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.
