A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Barbara was born in Abilene TX on September 19, 1932 to Paul and Dorothy Crouch. She moved to Pampa in the late 1930’s where her and her family played key roles in city leadership and the beef packing community. She lived the majority of her life in this same community until her passing last Friday, just two months shy of her 90th birthday.

Barbara was a graduate of Pampa High School and completed her undergraduate and graduate studies in education at West Texas State University. She started her teaching career in Esteline but spent the majority of her years teaching at Horace Mann Elementary in Pampa.

She loved golfing with friends and spent many days playing on the course and hanging out at the Pampa Country Club where she served as head of the Ladies Golf Association. Barbara loved to fish and was an accomplished painter. Her artwork still adorns the houses of her family, including her grandchildren who referred to her as “Grandmammy”.

She was proceeded in death by her son, Charles (Chuck) Rogers; and a great grandson, Stratton Driver.

She is survived by her son, Paul Rogers of Shelton WA; daughter, Robin McCarter and husband Darren of Magnolia TX; along with 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

-And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.—Romans 8:28
