Barbara Fleming, of Pampa, passed away, November 16, 2019 in Pampa.

Celebration of Life services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Highland Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Nachtigall, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Barbara was born on October 30, 1938 to Treva and Oswald Cook in Drumright, Oklahoma. As a young girl her family moved to Pampa where she later attend school. After high school, she met the love of her life, Jim Fleming and they later married on March 26, 1956 in Pampa. Barbara worked for many years as a cosmetologist and owned and operated her own salon. In 2006, she and Jim moved to Crowley to be closer to her daughters and grandchildren. While in Crowley, she and her husband were very active in the Crowley Senior Center. In 2017 they move to back to Pampa. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church. Barbara like to garden, go camping with her husband, but what brought her the most pride and joy was her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Barbara will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Her survivors include her husband of 63 years, Jim Fleming of the home; three daughters, Cathy Myers and husband Kenny of Benton, Arkansas, Carla Woodard and husband Rick, of Crowley, and Cheryl Murrah of Pampa; two sisters, Joyce Engler and husband Stuart, and Deana Cook, both of Shattuck, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Julie Turner and husband Chad, Amber Caruso, Joe Peppard, Candace and Krissy Woodard, Shannon Turner and husband Julius, Daniel Murrah and wife Kristen, and Megan Phillips and husband Jonathan; 19 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 PM, Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at the funeral home.
