Big Z Barbecue

Zion Lutheran Church will host the Annual Big Z Barbecue from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door.

Tickets may be purchased from any member of Zion Lutheran or by calling the  church office at 806-669-2774. The menu will feature smoked brisket and sausage, pinto beans, cole slaw, potato  salad, homemade bread, and dessert. Dine-in meals will be served in the  fellowship hall of Zion Lutheran Church at 1200 N. Duncan St. There will also be  a drive-thru line on the south side of the fellowship hall on Pennsylvania, just off

Duncan.  The following food items may be purchased at the inside ticket table or in the drive-thru line: sliced brisket for $12 per pound; sliced sausage for $6 per pound; and cold slaw, pinto beans, and potato salad for $3 per pint.

All of the proceeds from this event will go back to the community as donations to local non-profit organizations based on need. In 2022, the organizations benefiting  from Big Z were: Good Samaritan Christian Services, Gray Cares Living At  Home, Meals on Wheels, Pregnancy Support Center, Senior Citizens Center, and  Tralee Crisis Center.
