Bill Hulsey, 91, of Pampa, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022 in Pampa.

Private family graveside services, per Bill’s request, will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022 at the Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Pastor Paul Hudson, of Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Bill was born on February, 6, 1931 in Pampa to Charles and Bertha Tackett Hulsey. He attended Pampa schools and was a part of the graduating class of 1949. Bill enlisted in the United States Army in 1951. During his time in the Army, Bill was stationed in Japan. He was honorably discharged in May of 1953. Bill then attended barber school and began working with his father in the family business. He worked as barber for 70 years and gave over a million haircuts during that time. Bill married Betty Jo Tackett in 2007. She preceded him in death on September 13, 2008. He enjoyed traveling during his free time, mostly to the mountains in Colorado, and going to casinos. Bill was an honest and hardworking man that would help anyone in need, even when he had little to give.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; one sister, Vernice Shouse; and two brothers, Paul Hulsey and Jack Hulsey.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Suzie Terry and husband Donnie of Pampa; one brother, Bob Hulsey and wife Noma of Perryton; two grandchildren, Billy Stowers, and Cassidy Yates and husband Brandon, all of Pampa; and four great-grandchildren, Brenton Stowers, Taylor Stowers, Ella Hollon, and Kaden Yates, all of Pampa.
