Bobby “Bob” Joe Bright, 74, of Pampa, left this earth to be with Jesus on Sunday, September 10, 2023 in Pampa with his family by his side. Celebration of life services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 13, 2023 at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Ed Sattesahn, pastor at First Assembly of God, and Rev. Errol Hainer, officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael- Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 12, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Bob requested that no black be worn to his funeral. Bob was born September 26, 1948 in Pampa, to Charles and Nina Bright. On May 7, 1971 he married the love of his life Patsy Adams and during their 52 years of marriage they had two daughters, Dena and Regina. Bob was the cook at Jays Drive-In here in Pampa for 58 years, he was 17 years old when he started this job. Bob served in our United States Navy from 1968 - 1989 and in the Navy Reserves from 1983-2001. He was honorably discharged in 1989. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Charles Arlington Bright; his mother, Nina Grace Bright; his brothers, Charles Nelson Bright, Roy William Bright, Floyd Dale Bright, and Carl Dewayne Bright; his sisters, Bonnie Faye Floyd and Patricia Ann Demaroney; his beloved daughter, Regina Diane Bright; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Floyd C. Adams and Mabel I. Adams. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Bright of Pampa; his daughter, Dena Hainer and husband Rev. Errol of Amarillo; his granddaughters, Ashley Simpson and husband Morgan of Canyon, Charity McFarlin and husband Chris of Amarillo, and Alison Romero and husband Jonathan of Midland; nine great-grandchildren, Tyler, Eowyn, Judson, Rory, Ellie, Tobias, Titus, Lucas, and Levi; and many nieces and nephews.
