Bruce Topper, 82, of Pampa, passed away, December 14, 2021 in Pampa.

Celebration of Life memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, December 20, 2021 at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa with Bob Miller, pastor of CrossRoads Country Church of Amarillo, officiating. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Bruce was born on February 4, 1939 in French Camp, CA. As a young boy his family moved to Wheeler where he attended school and graduated Wheeler High School in 1957. Bruce was a lifelong cowboy both personally and occupationally. He worked at various ranches and feedlots around the Panhandle. Bruce loved the cowboy life and when he no longer could work cattle due to an injury, he stayed busy attending rodeos and he opened his own Boot & Saddle repair shop. He liked working with leather and he enjoyed braiding reins and was big fan of the sport of Boxing. Bruce loved people and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty & George Topper; two sons, Brent Topper and Steve Helton; and by a brother, Roger Topper.

Bruce is survived by his two daughters, Charisse Topper, and Kathy Liedtke and husband Doug, all of Amarillo; one son, Garrett Helton and wife DeeAnn of Guymon, OK; three granddaughters, Tonya Hinson and husband Paul of Pampa, Hope Bonner of Odessa, and Kassie Garrison and husband Keath of Amarillo; two grandsons, Beau Drinnon of Clinton, OK, and Tanner Lemons of Amarillo; a sister, Linda Bell and husband Ron of Amarillo; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
