Pampa’s Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 35th Annual Country Fair on Oct. 19 at 5:30 p.m. at the MK Brown Civic Center. Tickets are $35 in advance or $50 at the door.
“Tickets can be bought here at the Chamber or they can call one of the board members and we can take the tickets to them. The Hamburger Station also has tickets out there that you can get,” said Shawna Elliott, executive director of the The Chamber of Commerce.
“This is the only fundraiser that we do here (at the Chamber). This is our 35th.We use the money to help promote the businesses that are here in town.”
Music will be by Texas Pearl Snaps and catering will be by Desperado’s BBQ.
“Texas Pearl Snaps will start around 10 p.m., said Elliott. “This band has a serious following, and Desperado’s will be cooking steaks with all the fixings.”
Budweiser has donated beer for the event, which will be free for attendees. Rides will be available for those who consume alcoholic beverages.
“We keep an eye on people to make sure nobody is over the limit,” Elliott said. Also this year, Pampa Taxi will be available to give people rides home.”
Rides cost $10 for any destination within city limits.
There will also be a live and silent auction featuring several donated items from local businesses.
“We have all kinds of cool stuff,” said Elliott. “We have a three day trip to Vegas including air fare, which is nice. There are four tires up to $1,000. Rheam’s Diamond Shop has donated a very, very beautiful necklace.”
There are several other items available at the auction as well, including a painting, golf clubs, a drone and more.
