Chil Wilson, 56, of Pampa, passed away on January 12, 2023 in Pampa.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, January 16, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Beam, pastor, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Chil was born in Amarillo, Texas on June 20, 1966 to Wayne and Zelda Wilson. He grew up in Pampa where he gave his life to Christ and was baptized at Central Baptist church when he was 8 years old. Chil graduated from Pampa High School in 1985. He was a standout FFA member, winning the grand champion show pig award in San Antonio. Chil pursued a nursing degree from West Texas University and later earned his master’s degree in nursing from Seton Hall University specializing in acute care. Chil worked as an esteemed Nurse Practitioner assisting neurosurgeons in patient care for six years before joining the family business, WW Tank and Vessel, where he worked alongside his siblings and father. Chil’s children describe him as an amazing cook who spent a lot of time creating extravagant meals for his family. He loved traveling, hunting, and spending time learning new skills. Chil was a man of many hobbies and he always put his entire heart and head into everything he did. Above everything, Chil loved his children and grandchildren.

Chil is survived by his parents, Wayne and Zelda Wilson; two brothers, Loney Wilson and wife Melody and Judd Wilson; sister, Jona Little and husband Todd; two daughters, Emily Burns and husband Ben and Ellen Elliott and husband Scott; son, Dane Wilson and wife Addison; three granddaughters, Mary Claire, Madeline, and Nora Burns, as well as many nieces and nephews.
