College Night/Financial Aid meeting at Pampa High School

Posted

Pampa High School will host both College Night and the Financial Aid Meeting on Wednesday, October 9, 2019.   College Night will be held in the Commons area of the high school from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.  This is an informal time to visit with representatives from many different colleges and vocational schools about their campuses.  Each representative will have catalogues and other information to share with students and their parents.  At this time, over thirty colleges are expected to attend including junior colleges, vocational/technology schools and four-year universities.  In addition, recruiters from different branches of the armed forces will be there to answer questions about enlistment and college assistance.  Juniors and seniors from Pampa and nearby communities are encouraged to attend and begin thinking about life after graduation.

The Financial Aid Meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the PHS library immediately following College Night.  The PHS counselors will be joined by Keith Brown of the Opportunity Plan in Canyon and Traci Shields of the Amarillo Area Foundation to talk about financial aid, grants, scholarships, loans, and other ways to pay for college.  Parents of juniors and seniors are welcome to attend both events -- with or without their students. If you have any questions, please call the counselors’ office at Pampa High School at 669-4800, extension 1110.
