Clarendon College has established a community service day.Where both students and administration will volunteer their time to help clean up the campus and areas in town. This year, Clarendon College campuses in Amarillo, Childress, Clarendon and Pampa will all partake in community projects for the day.
Community Service Day will be held on March 22nd. On 10 a.m. that day, groups of volunteers from Clarendon College Pampa will be at Fairview Cemetery with Mayor Lance DeFever, White Deer Land Museum with Director Anita Gullet , or the college campus cleaning up.
Dr. Mike Davis, Dean of Clarendon College, gave more information on the organization of the event.
“Sign ups for Community Service Day are closed. We are now organizing the individual teams and preparing for the event,” Dr. Davis said. “Once spring break is finished, we will reopen the campus on March 20th and two days later is Community Service Day. Theres much preparation to do during this time.”
