Cynthia “Cindy” Reed, 73, of Amarillo and formerly of Pampa, passed away on January 14, 2022 in Amarillo.

Services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at the Central Church of Christ Chapel of Amarillo with Greg Dowell, an associate minister, officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory of Pampa.

Cindy was born on May 28, 1948, in Pampa to Vera and Kermit Rasco, Sr. She attended school and later graduated from Pampa High School in 1966. While in high school, she met the love of her life, Edward Reed and the high school sweethearts married on June 3, 1966, in Pampa. Cindy and Edward lived a brief time in Canyon while he attended school and they later moved back to Pampa, living till 1975. The family moved to Amarillo in 1975 and resided till 1996. They lived in Tucson, AZ for about 8 years before returning to Amarillo in 2004 and have remained since.

She was a member of the Central Church of Christ of Amarillo.

Cindy enjoyed music and loved playing the piano. She was a selfless lady who was a caregiver at heart and always put others before herself. Cindy’s family, especially all her grandchildren brought her the most enjoyment. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Michelle Reed; a brother, Kermit Rasco, Jr.; a sister, Sharon Rasco; and by a brother-in-law, Ray Lindsey.

Cindy’s survivors include her husband Edward Reed of the home; a daughter, Lori Hagler and husband David of Amarillo; a son, Michael Reed and wife Tess of Seattle, WA; five granddaughters, Brittni Anderwald and husband Andrew, Madasyn Epp and husband Conner, Maylian Withers and husband Caleb, all of Amarillo, Abrey Pena and husband Cristian of Colorado, and Shyah Reed of Seattle, WA; a grandson, Brigden Reed of Seattle, WA; six great grandchildren, Teagan, Noah, Lincoln, Romey, Loxley, and Embery; one great grandchild on the way; sister-in-law, Danette Lindsey of Vega; a sister, Glenda Bunch of Shamrock; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
