Daniel Vargas, 59 years old, of Pampa, passed away Friday afternoon, February 14, 2020. He was born on September 21, 1960 to Ignacio Sr. and Helen Vargas in Pampa, Texas.

Daniel was a lifelong resident of Pampa. He was a very active person who enjoyed fishing, rabbit hunting, playing pool at the Hideaway, cruising around town, and riding his dirt bike at the rodeo grounds. He was a hard worker especially when it came to helping his dad gather and cut steel.  Daniel had a love for food such as burritos and his Mom’s homemade tamales. Daniel loved his friends and family and that showed through his dedication as a caregiver to his sister Mary Helen. He was also a caring man who loved his dogs very much. His happy demeanor and contagious laugh will be missed by all that were blessed to have known him. 

He was preceded in death by his Parents.

Daniel left behind to carry on his memory, four siblings, Ignacio Vargas Jr. of Pampa, Thomasa Vargas of Amarillo, Raymond Vargas and wife Monica of Borger, Mary Helen Vargas of Pampa; Aunt Connie Diaz of Pampa; family friends, Billy Swanson, Robert Swanson, Bobby Swanson; neighbor and caretaker, Margie Baldwin and husband Billie of Pampa; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. 

Celebration of Life Memorial Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 22, 2020 at First Assembly Church of God with Pastor Ed Sattesahn officiating. The family has entrusted the cremation care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.
