Darrin Wayne Clendennen, 56, of Pampa, passed away on March 7, 2023

A celebration of life memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Pearson, an associate pastor, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Darrin was born on April 16, 1966 in Amarillo to Doyle and Judy Clendennen. As a young boy he grew up in Hedley before moving to Pampa and he later graduated from Pampa High in 1984 He married Jody Pyne on November 5, 1988 in Pampa sharing almost 34 years of being best friends and never being apart. Darrin had a long career in both the chemical and oil & gas industries. He worked for Celanese, Midcoast, Enbridge, and was working for Producers Midstream till his passing.

When he was not working, he liked supporting and volunteering at the Moose Lodge and Homer’s Backyard Ball. He also loved riding his Harley, throwing parties, being with friends, but most importantly being with Jody and the kids. He will be remembered as fun-loving man who never ever met a stranger, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by father, Doyle Clendennen; a sister, Diane Rene’ Clendennen; grandparents, Woodrow & Mildred Clendennen, RM , Otis and Margaret Holland; and father-in-law, Jerry Pyne.

Survivors include his wife, Jody Clendennen of the home; two sons, Channar Clendennen, and Jake Clendennen both of Pampa; two daughters, Kenzie Hughes and husband Alex of Pampa, and Keziah Clendennen and Justin Weeks of Florida; a special person of the family, Derrick Williams; mother, Judy Clendennen of Pampa; sister, Misty Baten and husband Brent of Pampa; brother-in-law, Justin Pyne and wife Tara of Idaho; mother and father-in-law, Jan and Donald Maul; nephews and nieces, Destry Baten, Clay Baten (Stevie Anderson), Jacey Baten (Blayne Howard) Megan Pyne, Jared Pyne; his beloved dog, Gami; and by other extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Darrin’s name can be made to the Moose Lodge, 401 E Brown St, Pampa, TX 79065; or monetary contributions can be made to the family in this time of loss.
