David Benjamin Stribling, Sr., long-time resident of Miami, Texas, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022, in Pampa.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Miami Cemetery in Miami, Texas, with Rev. Tom Stribling, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 PM, Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at the funeral home.

D.B. Stribling was born on May 7, 1931, in Miami, Texas, to T.A. and Bernice Stribling. He was a member of the American Legion for many years. Mr. Stribling was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. In his younger years, Mr. Stribling loved farming and ranching in Texas Panhandle. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and his daily outing to Miami Motors to visit with William Jackson. He enjoyed taking trips to Canton Lake in Oklahoma and to Eagle’s Nest, New Mexico for many years. Mr. Stribling retired from Cabot and IRI International after 32

years.

Mr. Stribling was preceded in death by his parents, T.A. and Bernice Stribling; brother, Albert Stribling; and wife, Doris Lee Stribling.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Stribling of the home; two daughters, Nancy Mears of Pampa and Cindy Callas and husband Dallas of Odessa; son, David Stribling, Jr. and wife Christie of Miami; ten grandchildren (some of which referred to him as Dangy); several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and other extended family members.
