Dennis Arden Elliott, 71, of Pampa, on Monday, December 20, 2021 in Pampa.

Services will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Pastor Tim Elliott and Pastor Michael Dyer, officiating. Burial will follow at Zybach Cemetery in Briscoe at 3:00 PM under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Dennis was born on August 16, 1950 in Pampa to Charles and June George Elliott. He was raised in Pampa and graduated from Pampa High School in 1968. After high school, Dennis attended West Texas A&M for two years before enlisting in the United States Army. Dennis served in Vietnam and Germany before returning home in 1972. He then began his career as a sheriff’s deputy in Amarillo. Dennis left his position in Amarillo after 20 years then moved back to Pampa, where he continued working as a deputy for the Gray County Sheriff’s Department until his retirement in 2012. Dennis was a member of the Cowboy’s Shooter Club. He enjoyed participating in shooting competitions. Dennis was a proud member of the Gray County VFW.

Dennis was preceded in death by his mother, June Elliott and his sister, Sherry Elliott Darce’.

He is survived by his father, Charles “Boog” Elliott of Howardwick; one sister, Judy Elliott of Howardwick; one brother, Gary Elliott of Bellville; one niece, Chandra Stinnette; and two nephews, Evan Lee Elliott and Jacob Elliott.
