Dianne was born May 28, 1940, in Fort Worth, Texas to Louie “Jack” Zachry and Nell Brandenburg Zachry. She was a 55-year active member of First Baptist Church of Panhandle. Dianne took great pride in being a farmer, she also worked 18 years at the Farm Service Agency where she retired from. She enjoyed gardening, was an avid quilter and a member of the Panhandle Piecemakers Quilt Guild. Her favorite place on earth was Platoro, Colorado. Some of her fondest memories were her trip to Alaska with her dearest friend Carol Beard and traveling to South Padre Island to see her cousin Jimmy Brandenburg. Nothing brought more joy to her life than her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who she loved fiercely.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Nell Zachry; husband, Meradith Meaker; her cousin Jimmy Brandenburg, who was more of a brother to her than a cousin, and her lifelong friend, Carol Beard, who was like a sister to her since junior high.

Survivors include her son, Meryl Meaker and wife Tessa of Panhandle; daughter, Lauri Minton and husband Scott of Canyon; grandchildren, Colton Wood and fiancé Kali Key of Panhandle, Kristin Reneau and husband Josh of Panhandle; great grandchildren, Brecken Dollar, and Emersyn Lewis; and brother-in-law, Cleo Meaker and wife Audrey of Pampa.
