District Court sentencings

The following cases were filed in the 223rd District Court:

• In an order of deferred adjudication, Eduardo Pepi was placed on community supervision for three years for evading arrest/detention with a vehicle.

• In an order of deferred adjudication, Vanessa Nicole Rivera was placed on community supervision for tampering/fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair.

• In a judgment of conviction by the court, Ashly Marie Rodriguez was sentenced to 10 years institutional division for injury to child/elderly/disabled with intent of severe bodily injury. Rodriguez had two cases filed with similar charges/punishment.

• In a judgment of conviction by the court, Andrew Thomas Chambers was sentenced to 12 months state jail division for burglary of a building. Chambers had two cases filed with similar charges/punishment.

• In a judgment of conviction by the court, Joe Talley was sentenced to five years institutional division for driving while intoxicated third or more.

• In an order of deferred adjudication, Jeremy Lynn Knight was placed on community supervision for two years for tampering/fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair.

• In an judgment adjudicating guilt, Teresa Gail Mundell was sentenced to nine months state jail division for theft of property less than $1,500 with two or more previous convictions.

• In a judgment of conviction by the court, Jesus Josue Cruz was sentenced to eight months state jail for possession of a controlled substance penalty group one less than one gram. Cruz was also sentenced to two years institutional division for possession of a controlled substance penalty group one greater than/equal to one gram and less than four grams.

• In an order of deferred adjudication, Julie Constance Scudder was placed on four years of community supervision for assault on a public servant.

• In an order of deferred adjudication, Jayden Zoe Sexton was placed on two years of community supervision for possession of a controlled substance penalty group one less than one gram. Sexton had two similar cases filed for this charge and punishment.

• In a judgment of conviction by the court, Bobby Dillon Pierce was sentenced to 10 years of institutional division for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance penalty group one greater than/equal to four grams and less than 200 grams.

• In a judgment of conviction by the court, Tyler Blane Roberts was sentenced to nine months state jail division for possession of a controlled substance penalty group one less than one gram.

• In a judgment of conviction by the court, Jack Alexander Floyd was sentenced to 10 years institutional division for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance penalty group one greater than/equal to four grams and less than 200 grams.
