District Court sentencings

The following cases were filed in the 223rd Judicial District Court of Gray County:

• In a judgment revoking community supervision, Ruben Reyes was sentenced to nine months confinement in state jail division for forgery of a financial instrument.

• In a judgment adjudicating guilt, Jeremy Allen Norman was sentenced to four years institutional division for possession of a controlled substance penalty group one greater than/equal to four grams and less than 200 grams.

• In a judgment of conviction by the court, Jared Brad Ely was sentenced to nine months state jail division for theft of property less than $2,500 with two or more previous convictions.

• In a judgment of conviction by the court, Devon Wayne Guy was sentenced to 16 years institutional division for injury to a child/elderly/disabled with intent to cause severe bodily/mental injury. Guy was also sentenced to seven years of institutional division for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Guy was also sentenced to seven years institutional division for assault on a public servant.

• In a judgment of conviction by the court, Randall Jack Hatcher was sentenced to three years institutional division for theft of property greater than/equal to $30,000 and less than $150,000.

• In a judgment of conviction by the court, Jacob Daniel Ruble was sentenced to three years institutional division for failure to comply with a sex offenders duty to register with a previous IAT.

• In a judgment of conviction by the court, Joel Thomas Evans was sentenced to 100 days at Gray County Jail for possession of a controlled substance penalty group one less than one gram.

• In an order of deferred adjudication, Marrico Edward Spears was placed on community supervision for two years for possession/delivery of drug paraphernalia.
