Don Boddy, 89, of Pampa passed on June 6, 2021 in Pampa.
Private family graveside will be Thursday at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Vondel Stevens, pastor of St. Paul United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Don was born June 15, 1931 in Haskell, Texas. His family moved to Pampa in 1946. He graduated from Pampa High School in 1950. Soon after graduation he enlisted in the US Navy and served his country faithfully. On March 1, 1954 he married Shirley J. Biard. He owned and operated Caddo Inc. for over 25 years. Don considered himself a “Christian” under construction as this was reflected in every move he made. Don was creative and was always tinkering with something. He had a generous and kind heart and was great with children and anyone who needed a helping hand. Don had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, PD Boddy.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Shirley J. Boddy of the home; daughter, Stachia Boddy-Disney of Ft. Worth; son, Daniel W. Boddy of St. Louis, MO; extended family, Bill Vierling of St. Louis, MO; 2 grandchildren, Laura Disney of Ft. Worth and Cameron Disney and wife Amy of Poteau, OK; great granddaughter, Alina Disney of Ft. Worth.
