Donald Allen Maul, 77, of Pampa, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023 in Pampa.

Memorial services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Pastor Rick Pearson, associate pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Viewing will begin at 2:00 PM Monday, March 20, 2023 through 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 22, 2023.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 5:00-6:30 PM.

Donald was born July 14, 1945 in Pampa to George and Edna Maul. He graduated from Pampa High School in 1964 and attended college in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Donald was a longtime farmer and rancher in Gray County and the surrounding counties. He married Jan Hall in October of 1991. Donald’s hobbies included playing dominoes at the Pampa Senior Citizens Center, visiting with his friends at the coffee shops, riding his three-wheel touring bike, and traveling. Donald and Jan traveled all over in their camper from 1999 until 2020 and met many friends along the way. For many years he was Santa Clause, in Pampa and later in Las Vegas, NV, and always enjoyed his time with the kids. He also was a longtime champion of shuffleboard in Arizona. Donald loved his family and will be missed by many.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother, Ronald Maul on March 19, 1985; brother-in-law, Robert Benyshek; and a son-in-law, Darrin Clendennen.

Survivors include his wife, Jan of the home; three daughters, Jody Clendennen of Texas, Amy Henderson and husband Michael of Texas, and Sarah Moberly and husband Sean of Kentucky; two sons, Justin Pyne and wife Tara of Idaho and Matt Maul of Oklahoma; sister, Barbara Benyshek of Texas; grandchildren, Kenzie Hughes and husband Alex, Keziah Clendennen and Justin Week, Channar Clendennen, Jake Clendennen, Michael Henderson, Maddox Henderson, Mason Henderson, Wyatt Moberly, Channing Maul, Megan Pyne, and Jared Pyne; and numerous nieces and nephews.
