Dustin Roy Meek

Dustin Roy Meek, 21 years old, of Perryton, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 in Dalhart, Texas. He was born on April 6, 1999 to Roy Meek and Billie Sue Kelley in Perryton.

Although Dustin was raised primarily in Perryton while living with his grandparents, he has a fairly large family in Pampa, which gave him the opportunity to build many relationships and ultimately call both towns home. He was most generally an easy-going guy with a smile across his face and a quiet personality, but if a group of his buddies started rough housing, don’t think he wasn’t right in the thick of it! Dustin took pride in his “pretty boy” appearance with his flashy earrings and necklaces but wasn’t above getting dirty either. Being outdoors was what primarily made his heart happy. If it had a motor in it, he wanted to get on it! Practically being raised from an infant carrier up until just three months ago, he loved demolition derby races. It didn’t matter to him if he was in the pit, helping rebuild or in the stands as long as he could be right in the thick of it one way or another. He enjoyed fishing, football (especially the Dallas Cowboys), boxing and racing lawn mowers with his grandpa. Dustin had many friends and dearly loved his family. He will be terribly missed by many whom loved him.

Dustin was greeted with open arms by his loving mother, Billie Sue Kelley; grandmother, Juanita Smith and grandfather, Ulysses Meek.

He has left behind to remember his spirit his father, Roy Meek of Perryton; brothers, Trey Kelley of Mansfield, Louisiana, Buddy McNelly of Mansfield, Louisiana, Braden Kelley of Pampa, Christopher Meek of Midland; sister, Abby Slaydon of Midland and a grandmother, Jackie Meek of Perryton.

Celebration of Life Memorial Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Memory Gardens Mausoleum with inurnment to follow. The family has entrusted the cremation care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.
