Emma Leta was born September 19, 1932 in Hardesty, Oklahoma to “Buck” and Opal Phillips. She married the love of her life, Leroy Morris in 1955 and together, they raised three children who she often called “Peg, Roy, and Deb”. She had her dream job of being an elementary school teacher at Baker Elementary. Emma Leta loved teaching and wished she could have taught longer. After retirement, if she wasn’t taking care of her grandkids, she enjoyed drinking coffee with her friends. Emma Leta loved being a grandma and she was the best, just ask her grandsons.

Survivors include her husband, Leroy of sixty-six years; three children, Peggy Fisher and husband Paul of Houston, Roy Morris of Flower Mound, and Debra Moore and husband Sam of Magnolia; eight grandsons; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

She attended Pampa Chapel until it closed its doors and then found a church home at Central Baptist Church.

The family wishes to thank her caregivers and the Interim Hospice Care staff for the love and care they provided.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Central Baptist Church.
