FirstBank Southwest welcomes guests with Hospitality Table ahead of Christmas

FirstBank Southwest, located at 300 W. Kingsmill, gave a warm, apple cider welcome to customers on Tuesday.

Those who handled their business at the bank from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday were welcomed with a hospitality table with cookies and apple cider as a “thank you” for being a part of the FirstBank Southwest family.

“We do this every year at Christmas,” market president Kim Hill said. “We want to thank our customers for coming and doing business with us. We want to share some cookies and cider with them, thank them and wish them a happy holiday.”

Customers were also treated to an ornament that said “Faith. Family. Bank.”

“Our mantra we live by is Faith, Family, Bank,” Hill said. “We live by that and believe everybody needs to be able to follow whatever faith they want to follow and it comes first. Our families come next, and the bank third. They really live by that. They let us take time for our family when we need to. If someone has an activity at their child’s school, we let them go. It’s a big deal to us.”

FirstBank Southwest is still on track to open their new building next summer.

“The weather has been great since we started and we are still on track to have that completed in June 2022,” Hill said. “We do not have any formal plans (for their current building), but we have some ideas.”

This weekend, the bank will be open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (8 a.m. to 12 p.m. drive-thru) on Christmas Eve and closed on Christmas. They will be open on New’s Year Eve for their normal hours, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and closed on New Year’s Day.
