Posted

Lake Meredith: SLOW. Water stained; 77 degrees; 48.93 feet low. Bass are good early in the morning and later in the evening on minnows and artificial baits, try some top-waters as well. Catfish are very good on crawlers, minnows, shrimp and stinkbaits. Crappie are good hitting minnows and artificial baits. Walleye are good on crawlers, minnows and artificial baits. Once you find them they are biting. Try hitting humps, underwater structure early morning and late evening and night seem more productive.

Ft. Phantom Hill: GOOD. Water stained; 92 degrees; 0.50 feet high. Fish are in a summer pattern, so fishing should be similar to what we have been seeing in the past week. White and hybrid bass can be found in 8-20 feet of water in areas such as Spillway, Sailboat Cove, and main lake points. Trolling deep crankbaits is a popular technique on this lake. Channel catfish are good fish baited holes around stickups/cattails in 4-10 feet of water using stinkbait below a bobber for best success. Look for bait fish in shallow water with cover such as lilly pads in the back of coves to produce bait.

Lake Greenbelt: SLOW. Water stained; 67 degrees; 37.35 feet low. Black bass are slow as due to the heat, fish deeper waters. Catfish are fair on live bait suspending bait 3 feet from the bottom. Walleye are fair as they have been harder this year than previous years. Sunfish and crappie are good fishing shallow structures with live bait. White bass are slow.

White River: SLOW. Water stained; 90 degrees; 18.95 feet low. Drought conditions continue to be in place. Please check boat ramp access. Largemouth bass continue to be fair deep using rocks, vegetation, and drops fishing minnows, bumping worms, jigs, and crankbait. Crappie are fair on jigs above vegetation and in structures less than 7 feet. Walleye remain good running rocky ledges needing more coaxing on spinners and crankbait. Channel Catfish are good on live bait, cut bait, and stinkbait.

Alan Henry: FAIR. Water clear; 89 degrees; 0.06 feet high. Fishing for spotted bass and largemouth bass has been fair since the lake has been running over the spillway. The topwater bite has not been as good as before all the rain, but a few can still be caught. Success has been had using trolling crankbaits and fishing worms in water 10-25 feet deep.

Arrowhead: FAIR. Water slightly stained; 84 degrees; 0.55 feet low. Fishing patterns are similar to last week. Channel and blue catfish are good on cheese bait over baited holes or drifting with fresh cut shad. Black and white bass are slow. Crappie are good in deeper water using minnows and jigs.

Possum Kingdom: FAIR. Water slightly stained; 83 degrees; 0.25 feet high. Fish have been biting in water depths 15-35 feet. Striper fish are good and remain consistent with top water action working the south end of the lake using live bait, and topwater lures when the fish are schooling the top water.
