Lake Meredith: GOOD. Water stained; 55 degrees; 51.21 feet low. The weather forecast should indicate a good fishing forecast for this weekend. Sand bass, walleye, and catfish are in 25-30 feet of water. They are biting on minnows, crawlers, grubs, and slabs. Crappie have been slow. Report by Kenneth Wysong, SharKens Honey hole.
Cisco: GOOD. Water stained; 55 degrees; 2.59 feet low. Largemouth bass are fair on crankbait and soft plastic rigs in the early mornings and later in the evenings fishing the northern portion of the lake. Sunfish are good on cutworms under structures or vegetation. Crappie remain fair on jigs and minnows. Catfish are fair on stinkbait, chicken livers, and cut shad.
Lake Greenbelt: SLOW. Water stained; 42 degrees; 39.62 feet low. There are few fishermen out on the lake as the Fall weather settles in. Catfishing on jugs has been reported.
White River: SLOW. Water stained; 63 degrees; 21.05 feet low. Fishing is slow, with few reports coming in. Largemouth bass and stripers are fair in shallow water using plastics. Crappie are fair on minnows around rock structures. There are a few reports of crappie being caught from the banks. Walleye are good on minnows. Channel catfish are good on dough bait and minnows on the bottom.
Alan Henry: FAIR. Water clear; 66 degrees; 2.80 feet low. Fishing at Alan Henry is excellent. On the days leading up to a cold front, the fish feed heavily. Black bass are good, with great catches on top waters, swim jigs, spoons, and the Kraken large square bill that dives to 10 feet. Crappie are biting on jigs tipped with small minnows. Arrowhead: GOOD. Water lightly stained; 59-62 degrees; 1.85 feet low. The warmer temperatures have the water temperatures up some, but the fishing is holding steady. Fish are 7-12 feet deep. Catfish are good on fresh-cut shad. Crappie are still good out of the derricks and around docks and brush piles. Sand bass still seems to be slow. Largemouth bass are slow. Stamford: FAIR. Water stained; 52 degrees; 0.92 feet low. Fish are still in 7-15 feet of water. Crappie are good on live bait and jigs. Catfish are good on live bait. White bass are good on topwater jigs.
