The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will present a free four-part webinar series that will cover a variety of range and wildlife topics starting Sept. 30.  The series will run on Wednesdays from 11 a.m.-noon through Oct. 21.
The webinars will be held on the Zoom meeting platform, and preregistration is required.
“The AgriLife Extension offices of Irion, Tom Green, Sterling, Coke, Runnels, Concho and Schleicher counties have been working together to put on this virtual series,” said Laci Kennedy, AgriLife Extension agent for Irion County. “Although we’ve selected topics important to our counties, there’s information in these webinars that will benefit Texas landowners statewide.”
Dates, topics and speakers are as follows:
Sept. 30, Coyote Control – John Tomecek, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension wildlife specialist, Thrall.
Oct. 7, Predator Management – Tomecek.
Oct. 14, Whitetail Deer Management – Ryan McClintock, Ph.D., U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service wildlife biologist, San Angelo.
Oct. 21, Feral Hog Control – Josh Helcel, AgriLife Extension associate with the Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute, Bryan-College Station.
The series will conclude with an optional field day on Oct. 28 in Ballinger. Field day information will be sent to webinar participants after registration.
