A Fritch man was killed in a rollover in Potter County overnight Saturday.
At 1:55 a.m. on Saturday morning, a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Rodney Valle, 53, Fritch, was traveling north on State Highway 136 when it left the roadway.
According to DPS, Valle attempted to regain access to the roadway by over correcting the steering which caused the driver to lose control. The Silverado went back across the roadway into a side skid and traveled into the ditch where it rolled over and Valle, who was unsecured, was ejected.
Texas DPS reports that alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor to the crash.
The crash remains under investigation. Information may change, be corrected, or added based on the investigator’s findings.
