Gail Wayne Sanders, 76, of Pampa, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022, in Denison, TX, surrounded by loved ones.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 AM, Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating. Burial and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Gail was born on July 5, 1945, in Erick, OK, to A.W. and Leona Sanders, and lived in Erick his entire childhood. After graduating from Erick High School, he married Dianna Maddoux on July 12, 1963. They moved to Pampa in April 1964 to make their home, and his first job in Pampa was working at Harold Barrett Ford as a service writer.

In the fall of 1964, he helped build the building and then he went to work for Fred’s Drive-In, which is now known as Jay’s Drive-In. He worked there until Christmas of 1965 when he went to work for Culberson’s. He had several other jobs over the next years until he decided that he wanted to go into business for himself. In 1977, he opened the Car Clinic. He then got his real estate license in 1978. He was instrumental in developing and bringing many businesses to Pampa. He loved buying and selling cars and real estate.

He was a past member of Texas Association of Realtors, National Associate of Realtors, Pampa Board of Realtors, and Pampa Senior Citizens. He was a current member of First McKinney Church.

Gail was so proud of his family. He loved spending time watching his grandkids participating in their many activities and was always there to support them.

He is survived by his wife, Dianna, of the home; his daughter, Stephanie Bradley and husband, Raney of Cartwright, OK; his son, Steve Sanders and wife Tonya of Coppell, TX; grandchildren, Averi Blakley, Scott Sanders, Zach Sanders, Meagan Harris, Ben Bradley, and Rylee Bradley; 3 great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Darla and Monte Lawrence, of Pampa; and several nieces and nephews.
