Gary Michael Montgomery passed from this life on August 21, 2022, at the age of 46 years. He was born May 25,1976 in Pampa, Texas, to Gary and Sue Montgomery.
Gary Michael graduated with the class of 1994 from Pampa High School and continued his education at West Texas A & M University. After leaving college, he joined the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Over the years Gary split his time between living in Tennessee and his hometown of Pampa, working for a variety of companies, including the Transportation Safety Administration, Halliburton, Gray County Sherriff’s Departments and finally becoming a full time truck driver after his return to Pampa in November of 2021.
An adamant supporter of Amtgard live action role playing, attending Medieval Renaissance Fairs, constantly growing his rock collection and building Legos. He shared these hobbies and adventures with his son James, with much delight. His family prays that his life is known for all the times he poured great love out to those who were in need, and for the moments he fought with intense purpose, to provide for others what he himself was missing.
Preceding him into Heaven are his grandparents, Joe and Dortha McNutt, Jim and Melba Montgomery, and Aunt Dortha Joe Stewart.
Those left behind to miss his sense of adventure are his wife, Holley Bimson and son, James Bimson of Hendersonville, TN; parents, Gary and Sue Montgomery of Pampa; brothers, Lesley Montgomery and wife Ashley of Panhandle, Mark Montgomery and wife Holly of Amarillo; seven nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Celebration of Life Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, September 10, 2022, at Full Armor Fellowship Church, 1733 N Banks, Pampa with Lesley Montgomery officiating. The family has entrusted the cremation care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.
