Ginger Aleene Foster, 74, of Pampa, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024 in Pampa.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 6:00-7:30 PM.
Ginger was born April 16, 1950 in Pampa to Alvin “Big Al” and Virginia Ferguson. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1968 and went on to attend West Texas State University for a short time. On July 25, 1970, she married the love of her life, Rick Foster, in Pampa. They celebrated 39 years together before he passed away on October 18, 2009.
Ginger worked as a pharmacy tech for many years, working at Dean’s Pharmacy and later moved to CVS. She retired in 2015.
Ginger was a longtime member of Trinity Fellowship Church.
Her support for her family over the years was unwavering in achievements, struggles, or anything else her family needed. Ginger was a wonderful caretaker for those who needed love and nurturing. Being “Gigi” to her three granddaughters was the greatest joy for her. She also enjoyed beautiful flowers and butterflies.
Ginger was described as an amazing friend, who was always solid and true to friendship.
Ginger loved the Lord and always encouraged others as much as she could and was quick to pray for anyone in need. She was loved and will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Ferguson; an infant daughter, Kebby Renea Foster; and stepfather, Lloyd Gooch.
Survivors include her daughter, Sara Jane Richison and husband Jason of Pampa; son, Seth Foster and wife Payton of Pampa; brother, Al Ferguson and wife Susan of Pampa; mother, Virginia Gooch of Pampa; stepsister, Kim Gooch Davis of Mauriceville; three granddaughters, Alee Jane Richison, Flair Grace Foster, and Fallon James Foster; and numerous extended family members.
Memorials can be sent to a favorite charity.
