God doesn’t care

Posted

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

This past Saturday night something special took place. Grace Baptist Church hosted the group, Greater Vision. Bro. Kyle Ohlsfelt, pastor at Grace Baptist, graciously extended the invitation for us to be a part of that special time. Of course Vicki and I were so excited to see this group once again.

Greater Vision has been a part of Southern Gospel for many years. To find out that they were coming to Pampa was so great! I know that some may not have heard of this group, but let me just say they just share their gift of song in an amazing way.

As they were going through the concert, Gerald Wolfe, was getting ready to introduce a song. He told how Chris Allman had brought the title and music to him. He said that when he saw the title, he didn’t think they could use it. The title was ‘God Doesn’t Care’. But then after hearing the words and music it was just the song that people needed to hear.

The words go like this --- You never would believe the way I’ve lived; You don’t know all the things I’m guilty of. My sins are much too horrid to forgive; I’m covered by the shame of all I’ve done

If this is your story, you need to know the truth, God doesn’t care, He just wants to love you. His grace can reach the deepest in despair. So no matter what you’ve done, God doesn’t care.

You may not understand the way God loves, His Grace has covered sin we’ll never know. So stand beneath the cross where Jesus hung, and let Him wash you in the cleansing flow.

Whatever your story, you need to know the truth, God doesn’t care, He just wants to love you. His grace can reach the deepest in despair, so no matter what you’ve done, God doesn’t care

He cares about the pain that weighs you down. He cares about what breaks your heart in two. He cares about the tears you’re crying now. But your yesterdays can’t keep His love from you.

Whatever your story, You need to know the truth, God doesn’t care, He just wants to love you. His grace can reach the deepest in despair, so no matter what you’ve done, God doesn’t care.

His grace can reach the deepest in despair, so no matter what you’ve done. God doesn’t care

I don’t know who all will read this or what they have done in their life. What I do know is that God doesn’t care. God’s desire is that ‘none should perish but that all should come to repentance’. (2 Peter 3:9). It’s like John 3:16 says --- “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.”

Yet God has called on us to answer the call to salvation. Paul wrote in Romans 10:9-10 – “that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; 10 for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”

Some people will say that they have done things for which they can’t be forgiven. They will say there is no way God would forgive them. But Paul clarifies that God doesn’t care what you’ve done in v.13 when he writes – “for ‘whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.’”

Salvation is by grace through faith (Eph. 2:8). It isn’t just for certain people who have lived ‘good’ lives. It is for all who will come to God, ask forgiveness for their sins and turn from them. Salvation is for ‘whoever will call upon the name of the Lord’.

God’s desire is for people to be saved. No matter what you’ve done, God doesn’t care! So you see, the truth is that JESUS, JESUS, JESUS, there IS something about that name!!

Christ only, always,

Bro. Paul
