God’s Life In The Womb Scriptures

Posted

Sunday, January 22, is Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. It is the designated day of remembrance of every human who died in abortion. (63 million since 1973) This article is for every professing Christian to know what God’s Word says about LIFE IN THE WOMB.

• Scripture #1- Ps 139:13-14 (ESV)For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” 15 My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.

Ps 139:13-16 (NLT)  You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. 15 You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. 16 You saw me before I was born.

Conclusion: God not only sees every human while they are in their mother’s womb, but He “knits”, “weaves” them together there in the womb.

• Scripture #2- Job 10:9-12 Remember that you have made me like clay; and will you return me to the dust? 10 Did you not pour me out like milk and curdle me like cheese? 11 You clothed me with skin and flesh, and knit me together with bones and sinews. 12 You have granted me life and steadfast love, and your care has preserved my spirit.

Conclusion: God makes every human with skin, flesh and bones in the womb.

Scripture #3- Lk 1:41ff “When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, ... As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.” Lk 2:12, 16 “This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. ... So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger.”

Conclusion: Jesus was a “baby” in the womb and after birth; a “baby” not just a fetus.

Scripture #4- Ex 21:22-25 “If men who are fighting hit a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined whatever the woman’s husband demands and the court allows. But if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise.”

Conclusion: God said that anyone who injured a child inside a pregnant woman, was to suffer an equal injury, including “life for life”.

Roe v Wade has been overturned and I praise the LORD for that. However, abortion has not disappeared. Now individual states will decide if abortion is legal in their state.

The saddest thing about abortion in America is that many professing Christians are pro-choice, which means they are pro-abortion. Many professing Christians vote for pro-abortion candidates and/or financially support pro-abortion candidates or pro-abortion political parties. One day we will all stand before the Father who sees and knows and forms and gives life to His babies in the womb. Every professing Christian had better line up with Father God. God bless.
