He and Velda lived in Pampa for several years until job transfers took them to Bridgeport, TX, Vernal, UT and Mineral Wells, TX. He retired from Occidental Gas in 1992 and they returned to Pampa to live out their retirement years. The family enjoyed camping and fishing and spent many happy summers enjoying the outdoors. He was a longtime faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
