The Gray County Commissioners Court met on Monday morning for a regularly-scheduled meeting.
During the meeting, the Commissioners approved proposing a tax rate of $.65086/$100 valuation. The general fund rate is $.583620 and the road/bridge rate is $.067240. The rate is a 3.02 percent decrease from the 2021 fiscal year.
There will be a public hearing on Aug. 25 at 9 a.m. followed by the potential adoption of the tax rate on Sept. 1.
The Commissioners also approved the following:

• Approving $0.05 (5 cents) Tax Rate for Clarendon College. This is the same rate it was last year.
