Guadalupe Davila, 69, of Pampa, passed away on January 21, 2023 in Amarillo.

A Memorial Mass will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at St. Vincentde Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Luis Lopez, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Vigil will be 5:30 PM, Monday, January 23, 2023 at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Luis Lopez, officiating. The Rosary will be recited after with Andrea and Rafael Bocanegra, officiating.

Guadalupe was born on December 21, 1953 in Juarez, Mexico to Federico and Juana Davila. He grew up and attended school in Mexico. He met and married the love of his life, Maria Tapia on November 28, 1972 in Juarez, Mexico and

they had eight wonderful children together. Guadalupe was a multi-talented man who worked in several industries in Mexico that included helping people by driving an ambulance and in the automotive radiator business.

In 1989, Guadalupe and his family moved to the United States. First living in New Mexico before making their permanent home in Pampa in 1995. While in Pampa, he returned to the automotive industry at Stokes Radiator & Muffler Service, later retiring after 25 years of service. He couldn’t stay still long, and he later opted out of retirement to work for Allsups for the last two years. Guadalupe was a joyful man to be around, and he valued his family above all, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Federico Davila Coronado and Juana Davila.

His survivors include his wife, Maria Davila of the home; and an immense amount of family who loved him very much: 8 children, many grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 5 siblings, and many nieces and nephews.
