Twenty-five students ranked in the top ten percent of the Class of 2022, two students have earned the distinction of Superintendent Scholar, and four students have earned an Associate Degree from Clarendon College.
To be an honor graduate, a student is required to be in the top 10 percent of the graduating class, or obtain an Associate Degree. To achieve the honor of a superintendent scholar, a student must have scored a minimum of 1340 composite on the SAT exam and/or a 29 on the ACT exam. In addition, students must have successfully completed at least three advanced placement courses and/or dual credit courses, and remained in good standing during their senior year.
Lexi Maul, Valedictorian, earned a grade point average (GPA) of 4.4489; and she is a Superintendent Scholar. She is the daughter of Adam and Heather Maul. She is the Vice President of the Student Body, and a member of the National Honor Society, Students Against Destructive Decisions, and the varsity track and cross country teams. She is a Bronze Medalist in the 3200 meter, and was on the 2019 District Basketball Championship team. She represented Pampa High School on the fourth place Texas Association of Community Schools Academic Challenge Team; and she has receive several outstanding achievement subject awards. She was selected as the 2022 Chamber of Commerce Student of the Year. Lexie plans to attend West Texas A & M University and pursue a degree in Sports and Exercise Sciences, with the hope of being accepted into the Texas Tech Physical Therapy Program. She will be competing on the West Texas track and cross country teams.
Haley Fossett, Salutatorian, earned a GPA of 4.2625. She is the daughter of Jimmy and Angie Fossett. She is the Senior Class Secretary, and President of the National Honor Society. She is a member of Students Against Destructive Decisions, and the UIL Academics Team. She is a member of the Varsity two year Bi-District and Area Champion Volleyball teams, and was selected for the All-Academic Team, Golden-Spread All-Star Team, District 4-4A First Team All- District, and Honorable Mention. She represented PHS on the first place Texas Association of Community Schools Academic Challenge Team, and received several outstanding subject achievement awards. Haley plans to attend Wayland Baptist University to continue her volleyball career, and pursue a degree in microbiology to become a pharmacist.
Benjamin Langford is ranked number 3, and has earned a GPA of 4.1531. He is the son of Mark and Sandra Langford. He is the Vice President of the National Honor Society, and the Treasurer of the Student Body. He is a Team Captain for the Varsity Tennis Team, and qualified for All-District First Team in mixed doubles. He is a National Cyber Scholar; and he is nationally recognized by Governor Greg Abbott for this accomplishment. He is on the UIL Academic Team, and a regional qualifier in Computer Science. He was a member of the band, and qualified for state in ensemble. He represented Pampa High School on the first place Texas Association of Community Schools Academic Challenge Team. He received an Outstanding Achievement Award in Engineering Science; and he has worked as an intern at Open Range Engineering. Benjamin plans to attend Texas A & M University and major in computer engineering.
Elizabeth Devoll is ranked number 4, and has earned a GPA of 4.1040. She is a Superintendent Scholar, and earned an Associate Degree from Clarendon College. She is the daughter of James Ray and Kate Devoll. She is the Student Body President, and Public Relations Officer for the National Honor Society. She is a member of the Future Farmers of America, Gray County 4H, Choir, and Students Against Destructive Decisions. She received the Grand Champion Steer award at the Gray County Stock Show, outstanding sophomore student council award, Buddy Lowrey Sportsmanship Award, and outstanding achievement subject award in Geometry. Elizabeth plans to attend Texas A & M University, and pursue a degree in environmental engineering.
Luis Martinez is ranked number 5, and earned a GPA of 3.9454. He is the son of Jesus and Lidia Garcia. He is the Vice President of the Superintendent Student Ambassadors, a member of the Superintendent’s Leadership Advisory Council, and served on the Pampa ISD Strategic Planning committee. He is also the Vice President of the Speech and Debate team, and his Bill was selected for competition use by TFA (first time in PHS History). He is a member of the Choir and Show Choir, and recently performed at the Texas State Board of Education Meeting in Austin. He qualified for District and Pre-Area TMEA Choir; and he is a two-year qualifier for state choir solo and ensemble. He is a member of Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA); and he is a three-year qualifier for State Competition, and a state finalist. He is the Student Body Reporter, and a member of the National Honor Society, Students Against Destructive Decisions, and the Band. His peers selected him as the 2021 Homecoming King for Pampa High School. Luis plans to attend West Texas A & M University, major in Business Administration, and minor in Music.
Gracie Covil is ranked number 6, and has earned a GPA of 3.9448. She is the daughter of Tim and Lori Covil. She was the Junior Class Vice President, and is the Student Body Parliamentarian. She is a member of the band, a three-time state band solo and ensemble qualifier, drumline captain, member of the band leadership team, and was selected as Band Sweetheart. She is also a member of the National Honor Society, and participated in One Act Play. Gracie plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin and major in psychology.
Dax Scott is ranked number 7, and has earned a GPA of 3.9163. He is the son of Jason and Terra Scott. He is President of the Choir, a three-time choir state solo and ensemble qualifier, and a Texas Music Educators Association Scholar. He is also a member of the show choir, and recently performed at the Texas State Board of Education meeting. He is the E-Sports League of Legends Team Captain, and has received a MTA Security Certification, and a Dell Service Certification. He is also a member of the Dell student Tech Crew, National Honor Society, and participates in the Culinary Arts program. Dax plans to attend “My Computer Career” an on-line technical school, and major in information technologies.
Hannah McKean is ranked number eight, and has earned a GPA of 3.8933. She is the daughter of Allen and Majaunta McKean. She is a member of the choir, has participated in solo and ensemble competition, and performed in Evening on Broadway. She received outstanding achievement awards in Biology, Chemistry, and American Sign Language. Hannah’s plans for the future are undecided at this time.
Alexis Hancock is ranked number nine, and has earned a GPA of 3.8319. She is the daughter of Jamisen and Brooke Hancock. She is the Vice President of the Senior Class; and a member of the National Honor Society, and Future Farmers of America. She is also a member of the choir and show choir; and she is an All-State Choir and All-State Solo and Ensemble qualifier, and a Texas Music Scholar. She performed the lead role in the PHS Musical, Cinderella, and recently performed at the Texas State Board of Education Board Meeting. She placed first place in District and Area in Horse Judging. She was selected as a Lions Club Sweetheart. Alexis plans to attend Oral Roberts University and pursue a degree in worship arts.
Quintessa Rodriguez is ranked number ten, and has earned a GPA of 3.800. She is the daughter of Josie Castillo. She is a member of the varsity basketball team and was selected for First Team All-District Basketball; she is also a member of the varsity soccer team, and was selected for Second Team All-District Soccer, Academic All-State soccer, and for the Amarillo Globe News Soccer Pre-Season Super Team. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Heath Occupations Students of America, Student Council, and Choir. Quintessa has been accepted to Texas Tech University Honors Program, and plans to pursue Bachelor degrees in Engineering and Architecture.
Natali Millan is ranked number eleven, and has earned a GPA of 3.7739. She is the daughter of Samael and Francisca Munoz. She is on the wrestling team, and was awarded the Fighting Heart Award. She is a member of the National Honor Society. She recently became a certified phlebotomist. Natali plans to obtain her Associate Degree from Clarendon College, and then transfer to the University of Texas at Arlington to begin studies in the medical field. She hopes to become a pediatric cardiologist.
Kiera Donehue is ranked number twelve, and has earned a GPA of 3.7659. She is the daughter of Schivon Parker. She is a PHS Athletic Trainer, and a member of the track team and choir. She has participated in Theater and One Act Play. She received an outstanding achievement award in English II Pre-Ap, and was nominated for the Terry Foundation Scholarship. She has served as a Superintendent Student Ambassador, and is a peer tutor. Kiera plans to attend Texas Tech University Honors College and major in marketing. Then, she plans to pursue her Master’s Degree in Business Management.
Itzell Perez is ranked number thirteen, earned a GPA of 3.7404, and has obtained her Associate Degree from Clarendon College. She is the daughter of Ivan Perez and Lizeth Castillo. She is the Secretary of the National Honor Society, and a member of Students Against Destructive Decisions. She received outstanding achievement subject awards in Spanish IV AP and Money Matters. She is a peer tutor at PHS. Itzell plans to attend Texas Tech University, and major in pre-dental. Eventually, she would like to attend dental school to become an orthodontist.
Eva Welsh is ranked number fourteen, and has earned a GPA of 3.7384. She is the daughter of Daniel and Lorri Welsh. She is a member of Future Farmers of America, choir, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She received outstanding achievement subject awards in Geometry, Alegbra I, Business Management, and English II. Eva plans to pursue an Associate Degree through Ashworth College, and plans to obtain her Veterinarian Technician’s license.
Kellie Mae Davis is ranked number fifteen, and has earned a GPA of 3.734. She is the daughter of Ryan and Deborah Davis. She has served as Vice President and Present of Students Against Destructive Decisions. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, and the basketball and track teams. She is the Chairman of the Gray County 4H Council, received the Gray County Senior Cattle Showmanship Award, Gray County 4H Gold Star Award, and the Wayne Stribling Citizenship Award. She received an outstanding achievement subject award in Spanish Pre-AP. Kellie Mae plans to attend West Texas A & M University and pursue a degree in Elementary Education.
Lexie Rosser is ranked number sixteen, and earned a GPA of 3.7333. She is the daughter of Justin and Manda Rosser. She is a member of the choir, Students Against Destructive Decisions, and Future Farmers of America. She is also a member of the volleyball team, and served as an Athletic Trainer. She placed 9th with her Steer at the Fort Worth Stock Show, and received the Senior Showmanship Award. She was selected as a Lions Club Sweetheart. Lexie plans to attend Wade Gordon Hairdressing Academy in the Fall.
Savannah Valentine is ranked number seventeen, and earned a GPA of 3.702. She is the daughter of Gene and Lori Valentine. She is a member of Students Against Destructive Decisions, National Honor Society, Future Farmers of America, and she is the Class recruiter for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She is also a member of the choir and show choir, qualified for All-Region Choir, and All-State Solo and Ensemble, and recently performed at the Texas State Board of Education meeting. She is a member of the basketball and track teams, and is a two-time regional track finalist. She received an outstanding achievement subject award in Spanish II. She was also selected as a Lions Club Sweetheart. Savannah plans to attend Texas Tech University to pursue a degree in Kinesiology.
Karennah McDonough is ranked number eighteen, and earned a GPA of 3.6956. She is the daughter of Franklin and Kelly McDonough. She is a member of Students Against Destructive Decisions, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Council, National Honor Society, Health Occupations Students of America, and the choir. She has recently obtained her phlebotomy certification. Karennah plans to attend Texas Tech University to pursue a Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing.
Lidia Resendiz Ponze is ranked number nineteen, and has earned a GPA of 3.694. She is the daughter of Guillermo Resendiz and Rosario Ponze. She is a member of Students Against Destructive Decisions and the Art Club. She is a member of the soccer team, a three-time All-District Academic qualifier, Academic All-State qualifier, and First Team All-District qualifier. Lidia plans to attend West Texas A & M University and major in electrical engineering.
Lizett Silva is ranked number twenty, and has earned a GPA of 3.6909. She is the daughter of Carlos Silva and Yesica Lerma. She is a member of Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA), and is a state finalist. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and the Pampa Student News Network. She received outstanding achievement subject awards in Spanish III AP, and English III AP. Lizett plans to attend West Texas A & M University for a year, and then transfer to the University of Texas at Arlington and major in linguistics, and possibly computer science.
Kaylyn Tidwell is ranked number twenty-one, and has earned a GPA of 3.678. She was able to graduate early in December of 2021. She is the daughter of Jeffrey and Junia Tidwell. She was a member of the tennis team and the choir. Kaylyn plans to attend Amarillo College and pursue an Associate Degree to become a radiology technician. Then, she plans to continue her education to pursue a Bachelor Degree.
Morgan Joyce is ranked number twenty-two, and has earned a GPA of 3.6522. She is the daughter of Mike and Jami Joyce. She is the Senior Class President, and a member of the National Honor Society, Students Against Destructive Decisions, choir, and the golf team. Morgan plans to attend Texas Tech University and pursue a degree in Marketing and Fashion Merchandising.
Sierra Rodriguez is ranked number twenty-three, and has earned a GPA of 3.6454. She is the daughter of Lionel and Ana Rodriguez. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Health Occupations Students of America, and the soccer and volleyball teams. She qualified for Academic District Soccer, All-State Soccer, Second Team All District Soccer, and the Amarillo Globe News Soccer Preseason Super Team. In October, Sierra swore into the Air Force. She plans to pursue a career in the medical field while enlisted.
Maria Pacheco is ranked number twenty-four, and has earned a GPA of 3.6387. She is the daughter of Luis Pacheco and Dora Frayre. She received outstanding achievement subject awards in Geometry and Spanish IV AP, and scored a five on the Spanish AP Exam. Maria’s future plans are undecided at this time; however, she would like to eventually pursue a degree in Architecture.
Kaylee Wilhite is ranked number twenty-five, earned a GPA of 3.6326, and has obtained her Associate Degree from Clarendon College. She is the daughter of Brian and Sarah Wilhite. She is the Student Body Chaplain, President of the Superintendent’s Student Ambassadors, a member of the Superintendent’s Leadership Advisory Council, and served on the Pampa ISD Strategic Planning Committee, and President of Speech and Debate. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Future Farmers of America, Band, and Students Against Destructive Decisions. She is a three time state band solo & ensemble qualifier, received the Speech and Debate Harvester Heart Award, and placed 2nd and 3rd in the TAPT Bus Safety Speech Contest. Kaylee plans to attend West Texas A & M University, and major in Agribusiness and Economics.
Bailey Collier is recognized for obtaining an Associate Degree from Clarendon College. She is the daughter of Jason Collier and Mandy Lamberson. She is the Student Body Historian, Health Occupations Students of America Treasurer, and a member of the softball and track teams. She qualified for area in track, and placed third in shot put. She is a Homecoming court nominee. She was recently certified as a phlebotomist. Bailey plans to attend West Texas A & M University nursing program, and would like to become a nurse practitioner. While attending college, she plans to work as a phlebotomist at BSA Hospital.
