Ida Ruth Price, 92, of Pampa, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022 at the ranch.

Ida Ruth was born December 29, 1929 in Pampa to Homer and Edna Taylor. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1948. After high school, Ida Ruth became an accomplished barrel racer. On July 7, 1951, she married the love of her life, Willis “Buddy” Price, Jr. He passed away on September 1, 2003. Ida Ruth was a true rancher’s wife, she helped on the ranch in anyway possible. After Buddy passed away, she has continued to run the ranch. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Pampa. Ida Ruth was very creative in everything she did, whether it was arranging flower arrangements or getting ready for a gathering. She loved to entertain and was a wonderful hostess. Ida Ruth had a kind spirit and had a beautiful smile and was very generous.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sister, Doris Walsh and Dora Reeves; and a brother, H.B. Taylor, Jr.
Survivors include her two daughters, Mary Bagby of Pampa and Jane Paul and husband L.P. of Carlsbad, New Mexico; a son, Willis Price, III and wife Carolyn of Midland; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Mulherin, Beth Whitehill and husband Josh, Taylor Paul, Allen Paul and wife Tara, Ben Paul, Ryan Price, Page Price, and Laura Price Tippen and husband Marshall; six great grandchildren, Chloe Whitehill, Harrison Whitehill, Spencer Whitehill, Ace Paul, Amelia Paul, and Willow Paul.
