Jimmie Ray King, 85, of Andrews, Texas passed away Friday, November 19, 2021, in Andrews, Texas.

Jimmie was born June 6, 1936, in Big Spring, Texas to Maudie (Robinson) and Jim King. He was a graduate of Big Spring High School and Texas Tech University.

 He married Peggy Bradford on September 7, 1956. Jimmie and Peggy settled in Pampa, Texas, where he was employed as an engineer for Cabot and later Celanese. He was active in the PHS Band Boosters, Friends of the Library, and Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Cindy and Phil Ingram of Midland; daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Ed Fitts of Andrews; and son and daughter-in-law David and Cathy King of Gainesville; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; Siblings: Brothers Ron & wife Karen King of Midland, Texas, Carey & wife Kris King of Richardson, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and son Mitchell King.
