JoAnne Proctor, 85, of Pampa passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021 in Lubbock.

Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, August 6, 2021 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with, Pastor Jamisen Hancock, pastor of Briarwood Church, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

JoAnne was born October 22, 1935 in Toledo, Ohio to Larry and Eleanor “El” Frazier. She graduated from Jones Commercial High School in Chicago in 1953. After high school she attended business school in Chicago. On December 5, 1964 in Delavan, Wisconsin she married the love of her life, LeRoy Proctor. They moved to Pampa in 1975. In 1978, she began her career with Highland General as an operator and retired after 16 years as a data processor. Soon after she returned to work with Panhandle Transit and Walmart for several years. JoAnne later went to work for Pampa Independent School District in the transportation department. She enjoyed her time on the bus and enjoyed following the kids in all their sporting events. JoAnne was an avid Pampa Harvester fan, Chicago Bears fan, and Chicago White Sox fan. She spent a lot of time reading mystery novels and watching tv and was known for special zucchini bread she made for all her family. JoAnne was a longtime member of Briarwood Church, where she served as greeter for several years.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivor include her husband, LeRoy Proctor of the home; daughter, Patti Carpenter and husband Steve of Pampa; son, Tim Proctor and wife Staci of Pampa; a sister, Joyce Egan of Toledo, Ohio; “Gram” to her 5 grandchildren, Mark Carpenter and wife Kaylee of Keller, Brenden Carpenter and wife Adriana of Las Vegas, Nevada, Paxton Proctor of Wichita Falls, Kari Terrell of Lubbock, and Lindsey Terrell of Pampa; 6 great grandchildren, Kiarra Terrell of Wichita Falls, Kayces Brown and Kyson Wine both of Pampa, Claire Carpenter, Ruby Jean Carpenter, and Wyatt Carpenter all of Keller; a great great-granddaughter, Ke’Mauri Brown of Pampa. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Patches.
