John Lanham, 68, of Pampa, passed away on June 9, 2021 in Ft. Worth.

Services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, June 14, 2021 at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Pastor Jamisen Hancock of Briarwood Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

John was born on July 16, 1952 in Borger to Bobbie and Carold Lanham in Borger. As a young boy his family moved to Amarillo where he grew up and graduated from Palo Duro High School. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Colorado Springs. Following his discharge from the Army he enrolled in college and earned a degree in blue printing. John entered the welding profession and took a job at K & K as a pipeline Welder in White Deer, serving 20 years and Enterpipe for the last five years.

In 1999 he would meet his future wife, Linda Bynum and they married on February 20, 2000 in Shamrock. John liked attending NASCAR races and loved riding his motorcycle. He was a former member of the Ironriders Motorcycle Club. What gave him great enjoyment was his riding companion and dog, Harry. John will be remembered as a dedicated and hardworking man and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents; and by a brother, Dana Lanham.

His survivors include his wife, Linda Lanham of the home; three sons, J.W. Lanham and wife Ky of Granbury, James Lanham and wife Bridgette of Amarillo, and John Blakemore and wife Kathy of La Porte; two daughters, Casey Collier and husband Todd of Lubbock and Crystal Herring of Dallas; 9 grandchildren, Grace Lanham, Emma Lanham, Levi Lanham, Brendi Lanham, Brylee Lanham, Breylee Lanham, Hannah Sowell, Addison Collier, and Brittany Blakemore; a brother, Butch Lanham and wife Cheryl of White Deer; and by other extended family.
