Johnny was a 1966 graduate of Pampa High School. He met Connie Lynn Holmes in November of 1965. They were married just two months later on January 6, 1966 in Juarez, Mexico. Johnny worked as a plant manager for Pioneer Natural Gas and then at Cabot. He continued his career at Dorchester before retiring from ONEOK, Inc. in 2007. Johnny was a member of Carpenter’s Church since its opening in 1982. He volunteered as a softball coach for little league and as a scout master in Boy Scouts in the early 70’s. Johnny enjoyed riding motorcycles and working on old cars. He always found a way to stay busy. Johnny will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Lucy Hoke; one daughter, Jimi Hoke; and his mother and father-in-law, Marie and Rufus Holmes.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Connie Hoke, of the home; two children, Steve Hoke of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Stephanie Hoke of Weleetka, Oklahoma; two siblings, Kathy Cuellar of Aretisa, New Mexico and David Hoke and wife Sue of Lubbock; six grandchildren, Hadley, Casey, Chance, Brandon, CJ, and Holly; four great-grandchildren, Hayden, Chloe, Olivia, and Makenna; and numerous nieces and nephews.
