Jonetta Sweatt, 61, of Big Spring died Sunday, January 2, 2022. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM with the family receiving friends from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM. At Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Myers & Smith Chapel. Graveside services will be Thursday at 10:00 AM at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, Texas.
Jonetta was born September 10, 1960 in Pampa to Colleen and Chestine Dunn. She moved to Big Spring in 1979 from Lefors, Texas. She married Roger Sweatt on October 20, 1983 in Big Spring. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2008. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Phoenix. She was a Registered Nurse for forty years at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. She was a certified emergency room nurse. She had worked at VAMC since August 31, 2020.
She loved all Disney characters, especially Mickey Mouse and all dogs, especially strays.
Jonetta is survived by two brothers: Terry Dunn of Coahoma and Michael Dunn (Amy) of Sand Springs; four nieces: Lori Hodgkins (Vernon) of Odessa, Cindy Owensby (Bo) of Odessa, Sarah Bremer (Craig) of Spring, and Katie Dunn of Sand Springs; one great niece: Joanna Bremer of Spring; and her pet: Annie.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jonetta was preceded in death by one brother: Dennis Dunn.
