Joyce Pangle Barton, 78, of Pampa, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021 in Pampa.
Services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, July 30, 2021 at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Byron Williamson, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 1931 Banks St, Pampa, Texas, 79065 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Joyce was born on November 3, 1942 in Vernon to Edgar and Iva Palmer Tigrett. She lived in Chillicothe before moving to Pampa in 1958. Joyce graduated from Pampa High School in 1961. She married Winford “Dago” Pangle on October 21, 1962 in Pampa. He preceded her in 1992. Joyce enjoyed playing cards and dominoes, and spending time with her family. She will be remembered as an honest woman.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 2 brothers, Robert “Bob” Tigrett and Coyt “Butch” Tigrett; and 1 nephew, Coyt Tigrett, Jr.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Valorie Burkhart and husband Bill of Enid, Oklahoma and Laura Ontiveros and husband Julian of Pampa; 1 brother, Billy Wayne Tigrett and wife Sherron of Perryton; 1 sister-in-law, JoDell Tigrett of Amarillo; 4 grandchildren, Justin Kalka, Valisa Kalka, Dustin Pangle and wife Samantha, and Lauren Burkhart; 7 great-grandchildren, Jace Kalka, Kylie Anne Kalka, Madison Baggett, Fenix Pangle, Brooklyn Warren, Ruven Chavez, Jr., and Ember Pangle; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Jan Trusty.
