Alejandra and Miguel Badillo have owned and operated ‘Badillo Bouncy’ since 2018. The couple started with one bounce house, a simple start, but quickly realized that they were going to need more for rentals.
“We started with one, and then the following year we purchased a second one,” Badillo said. “In the five years, we’ve added more and more to be able to offer more to our customers.”
A simple side business turned into something that would take up more time than planned. The company now has over six bounce houses, water slides, and an obstacle course that has become a fan favorite.
“We started this because it would be something good for our town,” Badillo said. “But we’ve grown to where we now serve Borger, Lefors, Groom, Miami, Wheeler, just really all over the Panhandle.”
The company has a contract with PISD to provide the equipment the schools would rent for a field day or special event.
“The obstacle course is very popular,” Badillo said. “We only got one to see how it would go, and it has become very popular, especially with the schools.”
The company has 14 bouncers, along with tables and chairs they offer to customers to be used at the intended event. Between Alejandra and Miguel, the business has grown to where they need more equipment or workers. For now, the company has the couple and their two nephews that help set up and take down the equipment at all events.
“We love the growth we’ve had,” Badillo said. “But we don’t want to grow too much. My husband and I still work, but we love the community and the support we’ve gotten so far so we do plan to keep providing our customers with the level of care we have been.”
